Varanasi or Benaras, (also known as Kashi) is one of the oldest living cities in the world. The land of Varanasi (Kashi) has been the ultimate pilgrimage spot for Hindus for ages. Hindus believe that one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and re-birth. The city is a center of learning and civilization for over 3000 years. Boat rides on the Holy River Ganges is an unforgettable experience. Khajuraho UNESCO World Heritage Sites is famous for its Nagara-Style architecture and graceful sculptures of nayikas and deities. We will then move on to another UNESCO World Heritage Sites experience one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Taj Mahal, The Taj Mahal rises above the banks of the river like a solitary tear suspended on the cheek of time.” –Rabindranath Tagore The picturesque Taj Mahal glowing beautifully by the Yamuna River at sunset. 

Moving on to the Rajasthan is one of the most precious jewel in India’s crown. Rajasthan is a feast of colours, aromas and bustling activity, filled with energy by its friendly people. There are many impressive sights in Rajasthan, such as Udaipur, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, often referred to as “City of Lakes” or “Lake City” or “Venice of East”or “Kashmir of Rajasthan, Jodhpur the ‘Blue City’ is centered on an old walled town built in shades of blue. It is famous for majestic Mehrangarh Fort and elegant Umaid Bhawan Palace. Rohetgarh is a remote, unspoilt and undiscovered village which is located in the desert region of Rajasthan and is about 41 Kms from Jodhpur. Rohetgarh is well known for its heritage hotel Rohet Garh. Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India. Located to the northwest of Ajmer, the tranquil city of Pushkar is a favoured destination for thousands of tourists and devotees flocking to Rajasthan. According to legends, Lord Brahma, believed to be the creator of the Universe dropped a lotus to the ground leading to the immediate creation of a lake. He then decided to name the place after the flower, and thus the name, Pushkar. The city of Pushkar is home to the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the whole world. Hindus consider a journey to Pushkar to be the ultimate pilgrimage that must be undertaken to attain salvation. These attractions and more are only part of the diversity to be found in Rajasthan, and will make visitors hungry for more.

Arrive at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal (T3).

After clearing the immigration and collecting the baggage, as you step into the “Meet and Greet Hall”, you will be met by our representative, who will escort you in a chauffeur-driven vehicle to you hotel and assist with check in. 

Afternoon relax at hotel. Get some time to overcome jet leg.

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of New and Old Delhi.

In Old Delhi visit The Masjid-i Jehan-Numa commonly known as Jama Masjid of Delhi, is one of the largest mosque in India. Drive pass Red Fort (Closed on Monday) a marvel in red sandstone. And then takes a glance at the unique local life on an exploration to the bustling and colorful bazaars of Chandni Chowk by cycle rickshaw. Also visit Raj Ghat memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.

Continue to New Delhi sightseeing tour.

Drive past the Rashtrapati Bhavan (formerly the viceroy's residence),Parliament House & Government Secretariat Buildings. Visit the 12th century Qutab Minar, gracefully hand-carved for its entire height of 234ft, and the iron pillar, which has withstood the ravages of time and not rusted even after 1500 years. Also visit Humayun’s Tomb is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. The tomb was commissioned by Humayun’s first wife Bega Begum in 1569-70, and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, a Persian architect chosen by Bega Begum.

In time transfer to airport to connect flight for Varanasi

Later in the afternoon proceed for guided sightseeing tour of Sarnath.

Sarnath is at a distance of 10 Kms from the Varanasi city. It is the most famous pilgrimage centre of Buddhists. Siddhartha (Lord Buddha), after gaining Bodhisattva at Bodhgaya, and becoming Buddha, gave, his first sermon at this Deer park (Mrigdav). He got His first disciple here and later on number went on increasing and first Sangh was formed. Buddhism started from this place and spread in many countries of the world. The remains date back to as far as the3rd-Century BC when Emperor Ashoka founded various institutions, stupas, monasteries and pillar Edicts. Visit the art collection at the Archaeological Museum (Museum closed on Friday). The main attraction is the superb Capital from Ashokan Pillar - the Ashokan symbol of four back-to-back Lions which has been adopted as the state symbol Independent India. Also visit the Mahabodhi'Buddha temple and walk around the Deer Park. Later see the Monastery ruins area, Dhameka Stupa.

Early morning boat ride on river Ganges. People living near River Ganga start with holy dip in Rriver Ganga with morning “Surya Namaskar”- Worship to God Sun. In morning, the old buildings,ashrams and places along the river side look as colourful as rainbow when the sun light hits them. People talking bath, performing rituals, worshiping to the Sun, washing clothes. A boat ride along the Ghats gives you vantage views of this activity. The sunrise on the Ganges is a soul-lifting experience.

After boat ride return back to hotel for breakfast.

Later proceed for guided sightseeing tour of Varanasi.

Visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple, also called the golden temple because of the gold-plating on its roof.

Also visit the Bharat Mata Temple with a big relief map of India in Marble, Durga Temple & Tulsi Manas Temple.

In the evening the Ghats and temples are lit with oil-lamp lights. The Ganga Aarti Ceremony held every evening at the Dasashwamedh Ghat at Varanasi is one of the most spectacular religious rituals carried out in the world. The whole aarti is a visual treat.

Later proceed for half day guided temple tour of Khajuraho.

Visit the Western Group of temples, the most important temple being the Kandariya Mahadeo Temple-dedicated to Lord Shiva. Chaunsat Yogini Jain Temple-dedicated to the 64 "Yoginis" or attendants of Goddess Kali. Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely sculpture of Lord Vishnu in his 11-headed form. Later visit the Eastern Group of temples including the Ghantai Temple, Vamana Temple dedicated to the "Vamana" or dwarf incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the Javari Temple.

Return back to hotel

Later in the evening enjoy light and sound show.

The Light and Sound show on the Western Group of temples complex the reminds the life and times of the great Chandela Kings and mark out the story of the exclusive temples from the 10th Century to the present day. The 50-minute fascinating show is held in every evening. Amitabh Bachchan, biggest of Bollywood stars, narrates the story of the magnificient temples and his majestic voice attributes a special effect to the show. The tourism department organizes the show, which is not only entertaining but also very informativ.

After Breakfast check out from hotel and transferred to Jhansi railway station. En-route visit Orchha.

New name of Jhansi railway station is “Virangana Lakshmibai” railway station.

Orchha means 'hidden', this beautiful small town is really a hidden gem in the whole of Indian tourism. Situated on the shores of Betwa river in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. For this medieval city, the hand of time has rested and the palaces and the temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th century retain much of their pristine perfection. Jehangir Mahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful Chhatries, commands a spectacular view of soaring temple-spires and cenotaphs.

Continued drive to Jhansi “Virangana Lakshmibai” railway station to board train for Agra

Taj Mahal (One of the Seven wonders of the world) is a breathtaking white-marble mausoleum commissioned by Mughul emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore described as "the tear-drop on the cheek of time". (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays)

After visiing Taj Mahal proceed to visit Agra Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daulah

Agra Fort, UNESCO world heritage site is situated just 2.5 Kms from Taj Mahal and major tourist attraction.

Itmad-Ud-Daulah or Baby Taj with its marble lattice screens and fine carvings, is considered a more delicate work of art than Taj Mahal.

After sightseeing tour return back to hotel.

After Later breakfast proceed for Jaipur. En-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri.

Fatehpur Sikri a city predominantly in red sand-stone, situated at a distance of 40 kms from Agra, was built by the Mughal Emperor Jalal-ud-din Mohammad Akbar, in honour of the great Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, the Tomb of Salim Chishti, & the other palaces.

Continued drive to Jaipur. On arrival check-in at hotel.

Morning excursion to Amber Fort (With a Jeep ride or Elephant ride up to the fort entrance). Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani Fort Palace. The rugged, time-ravaged walls of the Fort may not look beautiful from the outside, but the interior is a virtual paradise. Miniatures painted on the walls depict hunting and war scenes, apart from festivals. Precious stones and mirrors are embedded into the plaster. Inside the Fort visit the Jag Mandir or the Hall of Victory. Inside the Jag Mandir is the famed Sheesh Mahal - a room with all the four walls and ceiling completely embedded with glittering mirror pieces, which were specially imported from Belgium during that period. Enroute to Amber Fort, you will have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds.

Afternoon city tour begins with a visit to the Maharaja's City Palace, the former Royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. A small portion is still used by the Royal family of Jaipur. Built in the style of a fortified campus, the palace covers almost one-seventh in area of the city. One of the major attractions in the museum is the portion known as Armoury Museum housing an impressive array of weaponry-pistols, blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, rifles and daggers. The royal families of Jaipur once used most of these weapons. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition.

After breakfast proceed for Pushkar

Pushkar Just 11 km. Northeast of Ajmer is Pushkar, a small town sacred to the Hindus and now a tourist attraction for its annual world famous camel fair, the largest in the world.

Later in the afternoon proceed for guided sightseeing tour of Pushkar, visiting Pushkar lake and Barhma Temple. Jodhpur This princely state is referred as “The Blu City” among Rajasthan`s many princely settlements, Jodhpur is one of the most distinctive. This 500 years old settlement was the headquarters of the Rathore Rajputs celebrated for their tales of daring.

Later in the afternoon proceed for half day guided sightseeing tour of Jodhpur.

Visit the 5-km long Mehrangarh Fort situated on a 125 mt high hill, Mehrangarh fort is one of the largest forts in India. The beauty and the grandeur of numerous palaces in the fort narrates a saga of hard sandstones yielding to the chisels of skilled Jodhpuri sculptures.

The Jaswant Thada is a Royal cenotaph which was built with pure white marble in Jodhpur. It was built by Maharaja Sadar Singh in the year 1899 for his father Maharaja Jaswanth Singh II, hence the name 'Jaswant Thada'.

The Bishnoi community (followers of Guru Jamboji or Guru Gambha Ji of the 15th century, and his 29 principles) in Bishnoi village are arguably the first ecologists of the world. They protect trees and animals of their land and worship the magnificent black buck as an incarnation of Lord Krishna.

After breakfast proceed for Udaipur. En-roue visiting Ranakpur.

Ranakpur, Situated in the forests of Aravalli hills, a 15th century Jain Temple of Ranakpur is one of the finest examples of Jain architecture.The construction of the temple started in 1389 and continued until 1458 CE. However, a different source mentions that the construction continued until 1496. The construction took around 50 years to be completed and over two thousand workers were involved in the project. The temple is famous for its beautiful carved idol of Parshvanatha made out of a single marble slab. The idol has 1008 snakeheads and numerous tails. One can feel a sudden drop in the temperature inside the temple complex in contrast to the scorching heat of Rajasthan.

Continue to drive to Udaipur, also known as the City of Lakes, the Venice of the East.

Morning visit the City Palace, once entirely the home of Mewar’s rulers, is today largely a museum run by the Maharana Mewar Foundation. Later visit he Jagdish Mandir, close by the main gate of City Palace, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Late afternoon boat ride on Lake Pichola , 4 km long and 3 km broad, surrounded by splendid hills, Palace, temples, bathing Ghats and embankments. Visit the Island Palace Jag Niwas which is beautifully set in the lake.

Arrive Mumbai

Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport by our representative and straight proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Mumbai.

Visit to Gateway of India, Mumbai's principle landmark built on the sea front in December, 1911 to memorialize the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to the city. Drive past the Afghan Church. Secretariat of Maharashtra Government and along the Marine Drive which is fondly known as the 'Queen's Necklace'. Victoria Terminus the new name for this station is Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. It is the headquarters of the central railway line in Mumbai. This is a heritage building with brilliant architecture. It is one of the most photographed buildings in India. And Mani Bhavan famously known as Mumbai home to the great leader Mahatma Gandhi. Mani Bhavan served as Bombay home to mahatma Gandhi for seventeen long and very crucial years of his life.

After sightseeing transfer to hotel for freshen up followed by dinner.

Later transferred to Mumbai international airport to take flight back home with some amazing STORIES OF INDIA.
