Nagarkot, located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, is one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur district and is renowned for its spectacular sunrise view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear. Visitors often travel to Nagarkot from Kathmandu to spend the night so that they can be there for the breathtaking sunrise. Nagarkot has become famous as one of the best spots to view Mount Everest as well as other snow-topped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal. Nagarkot also offers an excellent view of the Indrawati river valley to the east. With an elevation of 2,195 meters, Nagarkot also offers a panoramic view of the Valley and is described by visitors as a place whose beauty endures year round.

Arrive at Tribhuwan International airport.

After collecting the baggage, as you step into the “Meet and Greet Hall”, you will be met by our representative and transferred to hotel by chauffeur-driven vehicle.

Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and the largest urban agglomerate of Nepal. The agglomerate consists of Kathmandu Metropolitan City at its core, and its sister cities Patan, Kirtipur, Thimi, and Bhaktapur. It also includes the recently recognized urban areas of Shankhapur, Karyabinayak, Champapur, Banepa, Dhulikhel and Panauti. According to a census conducted in 2011, Kathmandu metropolis alone has 975,453 inhabitants, and the agglomerate has a population of more than 2.5 million inhabitants.

The city stands at an elevation of approximately 1,400 meters (4,600 ft) in the bowl-shaped Kathmandu Valley of central Nepal. It is surrounded by four major mountains: Shivapuri, Phulchoki, Nagarjun and Chandragiri.

Pashupatinath Temple located on the banks of Bagmati River, is one of the most important shrines of Shiva – not only in Nepal but in the entire world. It is one of the popular names of lord SHIVA. The Pashupatinath Temple is located at some 6 kilometres to the east of centre KATHMANDU. Literarily Pashupatinath translate to "Lord of All the Living Creatures". He is composite god. The Hindu religious belief translates lord PASHUPATINATH as destroyer and creator, at once the end of things and the beginning of new ones. He is respected universally by all the Hindus worldwide must not forget visiting this Heritage site. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the 7 UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley. It is said that the 12 Jyotirlingas of India make up the body of Lord Shiva, while Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal is the head. 

Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a very popular attraction among tourists from all over the world and locals alike, every day, hundreds of tourists and pilgrims walk in a clockwise direction around the stupa, under the protective eyes of Buddha.

It is situated on the flat land to the east of the Valley. BODHANATH'S great size and its red, white and blue – painted eyes give it a striking appearance. The great stupa of Buddha was built in fifth century. The site around the present day stupa was an overnight camp of Tibetan businessmen. The Tibetan Merchants used to offer prayer at the site where there is stupa now. Today it is the principal centers of Tibetan culture outside of Tibet. Several Buddhist monasteries have been built up recently in the immediate vicinities of Bouddhanath. The periphery around the stupa is also popular for Tibetan Jewelry, hand-woven carpets, thankas, masks, khukuri knives and many more Tibetan products. A whole day can be spent over here observing the beauty of this huge stupa from different view –angles and the roof top restaurant.

After sightseeing tour continue drive to Nagarkot. 

Nagarkot The Hill Resort Village of NAGARKOT, located at 30 km east to the KATHAMNDU, at an altitude of 2099 m, offers great mountain views. NAGARKOT is popular tourist destination for the panoramic view of the great Himalayan ranges and surrounding green valleys. Mountain watchers usually make their way up to the Village Resort, stay overnight in one of NAGARKOT 'S hotels & lodges, then wake up at dawn to watch the sun rise appear over the Himalaya. You will never forget the majestic view of the sunrise from this corner of the earth.

Nagarkot is considered one of the most scenic view points in near the Kathmandu. It is renowned for its Sunrise and Sunset View of the Himalayas including Mount Everest, Langtang Range, Ganesh Himal, Ghaurisankar, Rolwaling Himal as well as other snow-capped Himalayan Range of eastern Nepal. Nagarkot also offers a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley. This is one of the most international tourist destinations with spectacular view of High Himalayan Ranges, Sunrise & Sunset view and stunning view of captivating Landscapes as well as hills.

After breakfast proceed for Kathmandu. En-route visiting Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square, also known as Bhadgaon or “Khwopa '  is a combination of 4 main squares Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square, and Pottery Square showcasing the adroit architecture and craftsmanship of Nepal. The major attractions of the place are Lion Gate, Golden Gate, Art Gallery, Statue of King Bhupatindra, and its 55windowed Malla Palace.

As you walk in, you cannot but be overcome by a feeling of inner harmony. Such is the art and architecture and the special layout here. The Palace of 55 Windows built during the period of King Bhupatindra Malla in 1754 situated to the left as you enter through the city gate, inspires admiration. The National Art Gallery is also housed inside. The palace entrance, the Golden Gate known as Sunko Dhoka in Nepali is a masterpiece in repousse art. In front of the palace building is a medley of temples of various designs. Amongst the three Durbar Squares in the Valley, the Durbar Square in Bhaktapur is the best preserved one.

After visiting Bhaktapur continue drive to Kathmandu.
